Cellar Door Tastings & Winery Tours

Iron Gate Estate’s cellar door at 178 Oakey Creek Road, Pokolbin, is open daily from 10am to 4pm. A standard tasting is 6 wines in about 45 minutes for $20 per person, and a 20 to 30 minute guided tour of the working winery runs Monday to Friday at 2pm for $35 per person. Tastings cover the current releases, including Chardonnay, Rosé, Tempranillo and sparkling wines, both sweet and dry. Pair your tasting with the winery tour, before or after, and book lunch at Iron Gate Kitchen on the estate.

How much is a wine tasting at Iron Gate Estate?

A standard tasting of 6 wines costs $20 per person for groups of 1 to 10, and $25 per person for groups of 11 to 14.

Do I need to book a tasting?

We recommend booking online so we can have a table ready.

Can I bring my dog to the cellar door?

Yes. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in our designated outdoor areas. They must stay on a lead and out of walkways, and outdoor seating depends on the weather.

What happens on the winery tour?

A member of our winemaking or cellar door team takes you through the working winery for 20 to 30 minutes, with views over the vineyard. The tour does not include walking through the vineyard.

Can large groups do a tasting?
