2022 Reserve Tempranillo
Tempranillo is a variety that seems to have found a home in the Hunter Valley, and this wine shows the result of a cooler and slower vintage.
Deep red/black in colour, this wine has complex aromas of cherry, tomato skin, bay leaf, rosemary hints and vanilla and coconut from French and American oak barrel maturation.
The rich palate has a lovely texture and weight with cherry, tomato puree, anise and bay leaf flavoured core with a soft tannin, mocha oak, and acid finish. One of our best reds made in the 2022 season.
This wine will complement red meat dishes such as hearty stews, lamb shoulder with roast vegetables but versatile enough for charcuterie plates and cheese.
