2023 Gatekeeper
A blend of predominantly Cabernet, and small amounts of Shiraz and Grenache, this wine was crafted to be enjoyed as an accompaniment with food prepared over an open flame. The wine is medium cherry-red in colour with aromas of redcurrant, plum, cherry and burnt vanilla bean from oak. The silky palate is of medium weight and exhibits cherry and cool climate Cabernet redcurrant varietal flavour, smoky, soft tannins and a lovely acid and oak freshness to the finish. This wine will complement dishes such as slow cooked lamb shoulder and wood-fired flatbreads.
