2023 PORTERO (Gate Keeper)
Portero translates from Spanish as “Gatekeeper” and represents a blend of 75% Chardonnay and 25% Semillon—a classic Hunter Valley combination with a fresh, modern twist.
Pale straw-yellow with vibrant green hues, this wine offers an inviting bouquet of peach, citrus, and delicate oak. The palate bursts with fresh peach, citrus, and green melon flavours, finishing with a lively, sherbet-like acidity that leaves a refreshing impression.
This wine is expected to mature gracefully in the mid-term and pairs beautifully with poultry dishes such as chicken or turkey salads, ham, seafood, or creamy pasta dishes.
