2023 Sweet Semillon Verdelho
A perennial favourite at cellar door, this wine delivers on all fronts, with the winemaking team stopping the fermentation to retain the natural sweetness in the resultant wine.
The wine is pale olive green with aromas of fruit salad such as pineapple, mango, apricot, peach, and citrus bud.
The palate is fresh and not overtly sweet with lychee, peach, lime peel and citrus flavours and a balanced by a sherbet acid finish.
This wine would obviously suit desserts but also goes well with spicy shellfish dishes or Mongolian lamb.
